As a bonus to our clients, we do not charge daily rates for your day of arrival or day of departure*, unlike a lot of other hunting outfitters. African Cape Trophy Safaris realize that your flight to Africa is a long one, and by the time you reach our camp you are probably exhausted and would just like to relax for awhile or simply take in the atmosphere and settle in. Your day of departure can also be hectic with packing and the drive back to Port Elizabeth. You won't have to spend extra time and money for accommodations before and after the hunt and can begin your safari relaxed and depart refreshed. We know some of you will see some of the game animals on the drive to our camp and want to begin your hunting immediately on arrival. For those who wish to hunt the day of their arrival or their day of departure we will only charge 1/2 of our daily rate. (*N/A for those going on special hunts immediately upon arrival.)
Accommodations, including linen and towels.
All meals and soft drinks.
Daily laundry, ironing and maid service.
All permits and hunting Licenses, excluding CITIES.
Licensed Professional hunter/guide, trackers and skinners.
All transportation to and from any hunting areas utilizing 4 X 4 vehicles.
Field preparation of trophies (skinning, caping and salting).
Transportation to and from local airport at Port Elizabeth.
Delivery of trophies to a local taxidermist.
Airfare to and from South Africa.
Any internal airfares.
Alcohol.
Accommodations before and after the safari period.
Trophy fees of animals bagged or wounded and lost.
Rifle hire and ammunition.
Gratuities (Tipping Guideline).
Any taxidermy costs including dipping, packing and shipping of trophies.
Insurance (such as medical, travel etc.)
Any items of a personal nature.
V.A.T. (Value added tax) currently 14%.
No hunting on Saturdays. On Saturday you can enjoy one or a combination of available tours which include an historic tour of Grahamstown, a tour of the coastal area, a game drive to Double Drift Game Reserve that includes a scenic drive above the Fish River, a shopping trip to Port Elizabeth, birding, or other game viewing. Please let us know when you arrive which ones you may be interested in doing and they will be arranged at no extra costs. Other day trips can also be arranged on this day for their listed charges.
50% deposit of daily rates is required to confirm a booking. Balance is due at the end of the safari payable in cash or travelers checks only.
All trophy fees not included in any packages are also due at the end of the safari.
In the event of a Safari cancellation, the deposit is not refundable unless cancellation of the booking is received 120 days prior to the start of the booking, in which case the deposit will be refunded less a 50% administrative fee.
Bookings can be re-scheduled, depending on availability for the current year only.
No refunds for either a late arrival or an early departure.
Hunting only permitted when in the company of a PH.
A minimum safari is normally 7 days, however shorter stays can be arranged on a case by case basis.
African Cape Trophy Safaris reserves the right to change prices or terms herein without prior notice.
Liability:
While African Cape Trophy Safaris takes the utmost care to ensure the safety of our client guests and their belongings, we take no responsibility for any loss, injury, accident, mishap, illness, disability or death before, during or after the safari period. We recommend clients take out baggage, travel, trip cancellation and medical evacuation insurance before they travel. All clients will be required to sign an indemnity statement prior to the commencement of any safari or hunting.
Safari preference list:
Shortly after booking with African Cape Trophy Safaris you will receive a Client Preference List so that you may indicate to us your desires pertaining to food, drinks, species of animals, etc. With this information we will be able to ensure that your stay with us is even more comfortable and enjoyable than you can imagine.
