African Cape Trophy Safaris also offers accommodations at a superbly restored and refurbished turn of the century homestead, that is full of charm and character, with your safaris hosts Gary and Michelle Sparrow. This homestead was built over 100 years ago during the ostrich feather boom and acted as an out span for the traders and farmers waiting to cross the sometimes swollen Great Fish River, which acts as a boundary for the property for more than 6 km. Here with the natural and scenic surroundings you will enjoy the tranquility and unique splendor that is the Eastern Cape. These accommodations reflect the culture, atmosphere, traditions and unique hospitality that is so typical of the area.
Your private area of the homestead consists of three tastefully decorated bedrooms (two with 2 single beds and one with a double bed), two bathrooms, two lounges and a separate dining area. All modern amenities are included which consist of hot and cold running water, both shower and bath facilities, flush toilets and electricity. The mouth watering traditional cuisine is superb and great care is also taken to accommodate any special dietary requirements. In the evenings (depending on the weather) you will also be able to relax in our "Boma" area with a captivating fire to set the proper mood or to enjoy a "Braai" (barbeque) which is the essence of Africa and be sure to enjoy the comfort of our fireplace in the lounge area. With daily laundry and maid service you will be able to enjoy your safari the way it was meant to be, in a style you deserve.
